agsa-buero3As a European volunteer at AGSA you work in the area of international youth work. Usually we attend to 2 up to 3 volunteers at the same time, but currently we have 2 positions to occupy.

The 1st volunteer will mainly work on our website and will be responsible for its actualizations. The most important tasks are:

-          to announce news concerning prospective events (e.g.: activities, workshop, etc.)

-          to announce news concerning our youth meetings, evs-projects, trainings and also the documentations

-          to see to the blogs and social forum that they last interactive

-          to design informative materials (e.g.: flyer, poster and publications)

The 2nd volunteer will be involved in organizing our international youth meetings, trainings and workshops. Eminently important in this regard is the Eurocamp which is an annual encounter of more than 80 adolescents from about 30 different countries. The most important tasks are:

-          to participate in the organization and realization of our projects

-          to assist in preparing application forms and keeping public relations

-          to participate in evaluation

Furthermore the volunteers will be responsible for organizing several independent activities in the course of the year. E.g.: the “Sprachcafé” (language-coffee), which offers two evenings a week to the people from Magdeburg the chance to communicate with each other in a language of theirs choice. And also organize meetings between alumni of the evs, current and future volunteers in the region of Magdeburg.

Basically the volunteers are responsible for several areas. But in practice all working areas are connected with each other and the volunteers support themselves one another in accomplishing the daily routine, workingagsa-buero2together during the activities, youth meetings or trainings. For this reason you get exactly here in AGSA the opportunity to gain so many different experiences by designing flyers, in public relations, by preparing workshop-rooms to the point of demand management for the youth meetings…

We expect capacity for teamwork, ability to work self-depended, creativity and the delight to sample themselves from our volunteers. You should be open-minded against new things and be interested in international and political work. Moreover you should be up to arrange your labour time flexibly and also work at the weekend by compensating the leisure time another day.
